The GUI based install method requires use of the provided installer, setup.exe, which is based on the SharePoint 2010 Solution Installer project. This installer will guide you through solution deployment and some feature activation. To complete the installation and activation, some steps will need to be performed within the SharePoint 2010 user interface. You will find a set of instructions for GUI based installation in both the Single-Server Install Guide and the Multi-Server Install Guide.
